SC07 The International Conference for High Performance Computing
Teaching through Video for Students with Autism (Part 1)
Often I will use the video as a social scripting tool. I try to catpture their progress along the way and we watch the film clips together on the computer. The goal is to encourage self-analysis and the understanding of expressive emotions such as a smile.
I've also started using a webcam...more on that soon. There is great potential for students with autism and digital media. Each day I am learning so much from the kids. Take care and smile.
